Organization: NV Rides
NV Rides is a network of service providers aiming to enhance and improve volunteer driving programs throughout Northern Virginia. This community-wide initiative aims to serve more non-driving older adults so that they can get where they need to go. Having accessible and dependable transportation readily available will help our community’s older adults remain independent, and ensure that they can age in place for as long as possible.

Event Description: As a project of Volunteer Tysons Day 2017, NV Rides is asking for 1 to 10 volunteers to assist with Marketing and Outreach.

Join us for a one-hour information session to learn more about the NV Rides program, and issues facing non-driving seniors in Northern Virginia. For the first hour, we will hear from a volunteer driver about how easy and rewarding it is to be a volunteer driver as they share their experience with us. During the second hour, help us create innovative outreach strategies to engage with the community and reach more volunteers.

We request that you review our website and Facebook page before attending Volunteer Tysons Day. This will take place at 8609 Westwood Center Drive, Tysons 22182.
