TIPS 3 Rules

TIPS 3 IS OPEN TO ALL CHAMBER MEMBERS, IT IS NOT INDUSTRY EXCLUSIVE

To Join:

  1. To become eligible to apply to be a TIPS Roster Member, the prospective member must attend 2 meetings in a row and must be a current TRCC member in good standing.
  2. A person may join TIPS 3 if more than one member from a given business category is already a part of the group.
  3. Guests are only permitted 1 visit per 6 months.

Meeting Format:

  1. 10-minutes – Arrival and Networking
  2. 10-minutes – Introductions and Guest Welcome
  3. 5-minutes – TRCC News, Highlights, Upcoming Events
  4. 15-minutes – Key Speaker Spotlight
    1. Each TIPS member may present 10-minute educational spotlight presentations.
    2. For Speakers: It is recommended that you invite guests when presenting. Please notify the TRCC office of presenters and dates so that the chamber staff may promote them – info@tysonschamber.org
  5. 15-minutes – Referral/lead-sharing, and other activity reporting
  6. Remaining Time – Networking and Lead share

Operations:

 

  1. New Members: A new member will be added to the roster after attending 3 meetings in a row and will be removed after missing 2 meetings.
  2. Guests:
    • Any person may attend a TIPS meeting as a guest; however, guests may only attend one TIPS meeting per 6-month period.
    • The group leader (or designee) is responsible for reaching out and engaging all guests. The group leader must also share that guest’s name, company name, email address, and phone number with the main TRCC office as well as the VP of Membership immediately post-meeting.
  3. Attendance: The member listed on the roster should attend the majority of meetings. 
  4. Compliance:
      • TRCC will send to the leader of the TIPS group a member roster sorted by TRCC membership renewal date.  
        • If a member is coming up on renewal – the TIPS leader is encouraged to engage that member and be an ambassador for the Chamber, inviting them to attend orientation and become engaged with the Chamber by attending an event.
        • If a member is 30-days overdue, they must be excluded from participating in TIPS.
  5. Organization: Each potential TIPS member has the option of visiting all TIPS groups, but must choose a primary group to help with streamlining communications.
  6. Expectations:
  • Leads: TIPS Members are expected to pass at least two warm leads or have two visitors attend per quarter. These will be tracked and reported to the main TRCC office.
    • Providers of strong leads that close will receive special incentives to be defined by the TRCC office.
  • 1:1 Meetings: One-to-One meetings with TIPS members and potential guests are strongly encouraged.
  • Recruitment: TIPS Members are expected to recruit at least two new members for the TRCC and the TIPS group over the period of one year.
    • Rewards and incentives defined by the TRCC office will be extended to those who exceed expectations for recruitment.
  • Events: Each TIPS member will endeavor to attend and support the events sponsored by the TRCC – sharing relevant information with the group from the office.
    • TIPS members will receive priority registration to member-only events.
    • TIPS members will prioritize TRCC functions when possible.
  • Conduct: Each TIPS member agrees to abide by all codes of conduct and ethics of the TRCC.
  • Service: Each TIPS member agrees to give priority service and attention to referrals from the group or other members of the TRCC and report the outcome to both the lead-giver as well as to the Chamber. Each TIPS member agrees to provide the best possible service and products to those in the group, the TRCC, and those referred by members.
